2020 BMW X5 Xdrive30d - A bigger 5 series?

We were very lucky today to get a 2020 BMW X5 Xdrive30d. The car comes with an M Sport Package ($5500) and a few other options and costs close to $150,000. So, what about the car's exterior, interior, and driving experience?

The new X5 has more lines in its design. The waist line makes the car look taller and bigger, but it's actually the same width as the X7. The car has a hub for the R22, which also makes for a more sporty look.
The car comes with a six-cylinder 3.0 diesel engine that delivers 195kw and 620Nm, a welcome number for urban drivers and those with light off-road needs.

Compared to the front view of the vehicle, I think the back view of the X5 is very recognisable. Smooth and flat taillights are very nice. The X5 doesn't look very tall due to the Angle of the photo, but it's actually a huge car.

There's 645 litres of boot space lying behind the split tailgate, so the X5 isn't quite as practical as the Mercedes GLE with 690 litres of space.
The X5 is a very spacious SUV for five adults, with almost no transmission tunnel to affect space for a middle rear passenger. There's lots of headroom in the front and rear, and it's possible to add a third row of seats for around $5,500.

As we all know, BMW always has a high degree of similarity in interior design, while the new X5 also maintains a high degree of similarity in interior design with the 5 Series.
The X5 comes complete with heating/cooling racks, a new IDrive system, shift paddles, auxiliary parking, and other practical features.

Although power control seat is standard, it needs to select luxury package to have lumbar support and massage seat at $5900.

The new generation of BMWS USES electronic power steering, which turns the steering wheel more lightly, making it easier for female drivers to steer. But I personally prefer to use hydraulic power steering. Overall, however, the latest BMW has an excellent steering wheel and is very comfortable to use.

In terms of driving experience, X5 and 5Series have a very similar driving experience in urban sections, with little difference except the height of suspension. This is a pity, because compared with the previous generation of every BMW, each car has a different 'personality', and the new generation of cars are more like 'clones' with different appearance. However, this still cannot conceal the excellent driving experience BMW gives to the driver. The engine power output is very linear, which gives the driver the confidence to accelerate at high torque. The shock absorber tuning provides a good guarantee for comfort.

All in all, the 2020 BMW X5 is a car worth considering if the budget is adequate!
